Livingston Out Loud (LOL) was originally published weekly/bi-weekly as a satirical Web site in 2005. It was impossible to keep up the pace of regularly updating static Web pages, and the site was not, as they say, “monetized.” That is, there was no revenue from it to support the time spent on it.

Since August 2007, LOL has been back and active as a more easy to update and interactive blog with these aims and hopes:

  • creating/updating LOL’s satirical “Features” and “News Shorts or Briefs” as blog entries whenever I find the time
  • adding civic discourse, musings, opinions, commentary to what started as a satirical site
  • contributions to both of the above from you

Enjoy the old; participate in the new. The issues from the original Livingston Out Loud Web site were put together in a spirit of good-natured fun by me, Lynn Weaver, a Livingston, Montana Web site designer. The horoscopes you’ll see on the original site were created by a guest contributor with the alias Anna Norbergino, with our thanks.

This new site and blog are also my work, but contributors are welcome. Again, the satirical bits are meant to provoke laughter, not hard feelings. As the motto puts it, “Lighten up, Livingston.” Much of what is written here is best understood if you live in Livingston, but I hear that the satire appeals to a broader audience. I hope so.
